My gold has gone missing, anyone help??

I logged into my account this morning and found all the gold off my druid except for 2g missing. No items have been taken, just the gold. I checked my account and the password hasnt been changed, so just to make sure I have changed it myself and run a spyware, malware and virus check and come up with nothing. I have posted a ticket in game but am still waiting for a response. Can anyone help/advise??

I'd have to agree with the others, Kynlassar, it sounds as if your account has been compromised.

You have already checked your characters and submitted a petition so that is one step out of the way. A Game Master will look into your petition and forward your information for investigation.

You do not need to remain online for this issue to be addressed, just make sure you do not close out your petition. You also do not need to list all the items missing but listing the characters that are missing items/gold would be helpful.

Also, you only need one petition regarding the same matter. :)

The next thing you need to do, since you still have access to the account, is to check your computer for malicious programs.

You may also want to look into attaching an Authenticator to your account for added security.
