Battle.net issues/authenticator?

i woke up this morning looking to get on and play for alittle bit before work, i attempted to log onto my account, and it prompted for an authenticator code... which i never bought or activated for my account. so i decided to try and see what this is all about so i went to battle.net and attempted to log in. i got a message saying "this username or password is incorrect, please try again". i thought my account may have gotten hijacked so i attempted to try and recover the password, but everytime i enter the information it says
"this email/name combination doesnt exist" even though its the same information i give every time i ever change my password. i know i have no virus's on my computer as i just reformated last week. this is also extremely odd considering i was playing no less than 10 hours ago with no problem, logging in and out with ease.

the wierdest thing about this is the fact that my email/password still works for the forums, yet nothing else. i never activated an authenticator and battle.net isn't working.

ive had nothing but problems with battle net and its starting to aggravate me. if anyone can help please do... thank you

edit: its asking for an authenticator code when i try to log in through the website also, i never activated an authenticator on this account.

You'll want to call Billing about the authenticator.

Since you didn't add this, someone had your information - which means you have been compromised. Finding the source of that is vital to this not happening again, and it will if they can still get back in.

These two stickies should prove helpful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will keep anyone else out of your WoW account.
