Anyone else get a chuckle when you see this? I find it funny that ppl Pugging need an achievement to invite someone. I thought the reason people PuG is either they don't have a guild, or they are in need of an extra person, so shouldn't it be "you take what you can get" (within reason of course).

Just the other day, someone messaged me asking if I could help with healing in ToC 10. I said sure and then he asks "do you have achieve?". I asked "How badly do you need heals?", he replied "I'll just keep looking". I find it strange, that one would turn down a player that theyy are looking for just because they want an achievement linked.

You gotta start somewhere, you don't just magically have the achievement. I decided to offer my services to an Ulduar group that had been spamming LFG for about 20 min. I'd never done it before past Kologarn, but I thought I'd try to help out if I could. Sure we wiped on a few fights that I was trying to learn, such as Mimiron and Vezax, but it turned out just fine. I didn't have the acheive.

I just think that it's nonsense that a PuG group would let an achievement decide who they take. It's kind of like a beggar turning down bread because they want cavier. Anyone else feel the same.

Other people pretty much covered it, but yes, even though someone is forming a group, that doesn't mean they aren't lazy and don't want to explain the encounter. PUGs tend to have a strong likelihood of disbanding if there is one wipe so they want to do what they can to ensure everybody knows what they are doing.

I agree it's funny that people are supposed to magically have the achievement though because obviously any past experience doesn't apply.

Because whiping must be avoided at all costs.

Challenge=Bad

Hey, I put effort into it once, that means free loot forever after that right?
