Please do not use the Pay-by-Phone option. If you are, or have used the pay-by-phone option any time in the past 3-5 months I would suggest that you call up Blizzard billing to make sure that your account has actually been paid for even though you have paid your Telephone Bill.
I paid for both my account and my Fiance's account for the past four and a half years. For a period of roughly six months I paid via telephone. About 3 months ago I stopped paying via-telephone and began to use cards or game time cards to pay.
Last week I received an email stating that both of my accounts were going to be suspended and or TERMINATED due to them having a negative balance of $44.97 on both accounts. My Telephone comapny decided to dispute the charges from Blizzard -after- I had paid my Telephone bill PAYING the Blizzard charges. (So the phone company was paid for those charges.) Blizzard -claims- they lost the dispute with the Telephone company and the Telephone company took $89.94 from them; Which I now owe Blizzard Entertainment even though I had already paid that to the Telephone company.
When I attempted to get my money back from the Telephone company (CenturyLink formerly known as CenturyTel) I was told that I would have to be reimbursed by Blizzard Entertainment. Wait, but Blizzard Ent. is claiming that I owe THEM $89.94 ---
I have since paid for my Fiance's account who wishes to continue to play; I am letting Blizzard suspend/Terminate my account because I refuse to double pay for this service after being the way I have been treated by the company over this issue.
#1. I was NOT informed the MOMENT the payments were in dispute. I was not informed until THREE MONTHS after they were disputed by the phone company - and me being informed was Blizzard saying "Your account is going to be terminated if you do not immediately pay this."
#2. I have put over $1,000 into collectables: (Zboards, T-shirts, Mugs, Trading Cards, Halloween Costumes) I have been to Blizz con TWICE (purchased 2 tickets both times). I have paid for two accounts for the past 4 and a half years faithfully with no breaks in between amounting to $1,600 dollars (Rounded down to the nearest hundred.) That does not include any money I have spent on server Transfers, name changes, faction changes or expansions.
^ Despite all of that, Blizzard is terminating the account of a faithful Veteran Player over something that isn't even my fault who has pumped more than $3,000 into their bank accounts over 4 years.
Good Game Blizzard, Good Game.
Please, I urge all of you NOT to use the pay-by-phone service before you too are slapped with charges out of no where and your accounts are terminated.
I guess this is goodbye.
Manatide~
