Q u o t e:
I log onto my druid to see that I have 10g and I learned epic flying on 10/25/09. I haven't been on my druid in awhile, but that seems to be the only thing missing from my account, my gold. I check my E-Mail to see if I missed my password being changed, but nothing has. But I see a message talking about getting my druids flying refunded, which I did not submit.
So I presume I was hacked and the only thing that appears to be missing is my druids gold (basically all of my gold). I suppose the hacker was a bad one(Or good one in this case), because he/she didn't change my password and tried to fix what he/she had done.
My account has never been hacked ever and I did not notice this problem until today. I have been playing much of my alts and paladin, which is why I wasn't on my druid.
Thanks! (I have submitted a REAL ticket in-game aswell).

Edit: My druid is "Zwanith" - Whisperwind US

Sounds more like someone you know has your account information. The people that are using compromised accounts won't go and buy your flying skills and then open a GM ticket to try and get gold back.

As Farmuse indicated, Shiningwindo, if your account is compromised in the traditional meaning of the term then it is accessed by an outside source and usually stripped or used for other nefarious deeds.

Also a compromise investigation is fairly thorough and will look into exactly what happened. I have only looked into this a little bit and I can already see that your account was not accessed by anyone outside of your home.

I can also see that you wanted the gold back because you "never player your druid".

I'm sorry, Shiningwindo, but I simply see no evidence of a compromise. I only see an indication of someone using the "dog ate my homework" excuse to get something that was previously denied.

Perhaps I'm wrong, you are welcome to wait for a more detailed investigation though.

I'd suppose it was this, as it was said, I've never been hacked. I suppose a sibling could have done this while I was afk, then made a ticket another time. Also I don't believe i'd need an account security search on this case, as I believe I know who's done this now. And I suppose I can mine for a week.
Thanks

Good luck to you, Shiningwindo. :)
