* Improved Poisons now increases the chance to apply Deadly poison to your target by 4/8/12/16/20%. (Up from 2/4/6/8/10%)
Poisons
* Deadly Poison now has an additional effect - Once stacked to 5 times, each application of Deadly Poison also causes the poison on the Rogue's other weapon to apply.
This is being talked about on other forums and it probably wont be enough to get people to stop using the poison swapper addon. With a little explanation, you can see why weapon swapping with different poisons will still be superior than leaving DP on your OH weapon always.
For example, Having IP on your MH, and DP on your OH, & being spec'd into 3/3 master poisoner, 5/5 improved poisons, and 3/3 vile poisons:
Without the ps addon, your apply rate for DP will be 50% on your OH, and apply rate for IP on your MH will be 70%. However after an envenom apply rate for IP goes up to 100%. This means IP will proc every time you hit with your MH, and IP will proc again each time DP is applied, which will be 65% the OH weapon hits.
With the ps addon, your apply rate for DP will be 50% on your OH, and apply rate for IP on your MH will be 70%. However after an envenom & weapon swap to an OH with instant poison, you will gain 100% chance to proc IP on MH, and 100% chance to proc IP on OH.
So this clearly shows that the poisonswapper addon will still provide more dps. Having IP proc 100% of the time on both weapon hits is vastly superior than having IP proc 100% on MH hits, and 65% on OH hits.
Looks like the only way this addon is going away is to revert the master poisoner change that keeps DP from being used up. Which would be the nail in the coffin for PVE assassination specs.
