Getting items back after being hacked

Well, I was hacked the other night.
Got my account back under my control with the help of phone support (who were awesome in helping me), then I logged in and opened an in game ticket to get my gold and items back. After the conversation with the GM (who was very helpful and very plesant to chat with), I was told it would take roughly 81 hours to get my stuff back. I won't lie, thats a bit frustrating, but hey, its better then not getting my stuff back. Luckily the guild I am with was very helpful in getting some gear for the main character I play with.
Anyways, I was inforemd that I would be getting an email regarding the issue of the missing items, but I have yet to receive said email. I have however received 4 Customer Satisfaction Survey's...

And currently, I am sitting at my desk at work, so I cannot log into the game to open a GM ticket, which is why I am posting here.

Q u o t e:
Yeah, i kinda figured that anytime someone from Blizz touches my file, a survey would be sent out.
One of the main characters I am concerned with is
Olath on Blades Edge

Come on Blue, help me out :D

I can confirm this was sent up to investigations very late on the 18th, Olath.

Our investigation queues can vary quite a bit and even if we give an estimate, those times can go up or down quite quickly.

At the moment, we look to be in the 2-3ish day range. Hopefully you will hear from your Specialist within the next day or so.

In the meantime, did you find the security breach? That is incredibly important. Trust me, no matter what we do to get you back into shape, if they CAN get back in - they WILL be back for seconds.

This sticky may prove helpful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will keep anyone else out of your WoW account.

I do wish you all the very best on a speedy recovery.

Malwarebytes is often recommended here by our players. It seems to do a good job at detecting things specifically aimed at WoW accounts.

You may also want to fire up the launcher and run a scan. We've seen reports of some particularly sneaky malware lately that doesn't seem to be detectable until the launcher is fired up.
