Paid server transfer and name lock-out

Hi, I wasn't sure if this was the right forum to ask this in but it looks right, so let's go.

Does anyone know whether the 90 day character name lock-out which gets applied to such services as a paid character name change gets applied after a paid server transfer? So, for example, if I transferred a character from my home server to another, but then decided to transfer back after the three day cooldown period, would the character's original name be locked from use for the 90 day period since the original transfer?

I checked the various service FAQs before, and while nowhere does it state that the paid server transfer initiates the 90 day name lock-out, I wanted to double check one way or another.

Thanks for your assistance in advance.

The short answer is no. The Paid Character Transfer would not initiate a cooldown or lockout of the original name if you change it when moving. Moving realms and simply changing names are a bit different, as you have to consider names may or may not be taken already on both realms.

Also, you are only asked to change your name if the name is taken when you get to the realm, you are not automatically offered a name change when you do realm transfers, so it operates differently :)

I hope that clears it up for you, but feel free to ask any other questions you may have!
