Account Stolen and Authenticator Placed

I stopped playing well over 1-2 months ago, get a message from a friend today saying he saw my DK alt logged in. I try to access the Account Management page, Authenticator has been placed on the account apparently. I changed the password but since i can't access my account at all, he's apparently still logged in doing god knows what.

Also, anyone know if GM's have banned people's accounts for stuff they've said on the forums? Cause if I have to perform some tedious process for an account I don't even use anymore I'd rather just have it banned then to go through the trouble of sending in a bunch of notarized forms. And before anyone starts, no I don't have a virus. Aside from not visiting WoW related sites I haven't changed any of my surfing habits, I've created the account god knows how long ago, never been hacked. Most likely the battle.net merge that screwed over several others, even though my account was already a battle.net account to begin with.

If an authenticator is on the account and YOU didn't do it, you've been compromised.

You need to start with a call to Billing on that.

Now, it's very very important to figure out where the security breach occurred. If they CAN get back in, they WILL be back. That, unfortunately, you can count on. While you don't think your security is in question, they got the information to do this somehow. Really two scenarios here.....you have a security breach - or you shared your information.

These two stickies should prove helpful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will keep anyone else out of your WoW account.
