Macabre Marionette Disappeared after crash

I had obtained this pet on three of my characters. And just after getting the item and calling it on my third character, the game crashed on me (out of Memory error).

When I logged back in it had disappeared on all of my characters that had obtained it. They still had the Bread of the Dead recipe, however none of them could repeat the quest for a replacement.

(P.S. Blizzard could have avoided this if they just made it a normal vanity pet.)

We are aware of an issue which is causing the Macabre Marionette to disappear from a player's inventory after changing zones. We hope to see this issue resolves as quickly as possible; however, we have not been provided any specific information or ETAs at this time.
