Somehow didn't get the achievement.

On October 30, 2009, I and nine other guildmates completed "Tribute to Insanity (10 Player)". At the last 2% or so of the boss' health, our main tank dropped and Anub'arak instantly turned around and turned me into meat toothpaste. Unfortunately, I accidentally released my spirit and four seconds later, the rest of the group were successful with the kill. Upon re-entry into the instance, I was not awarded the achievement nor was I granted any badges or allowed to roll on any loot. It's as if I was never in the instance at all that night.

Since after the boss kill, I had two in-game tickets open trying to rectify the game's oversight. Both representatives had the same response of not being able to award achievements.....as if they didn't even bother to help investigate the fact that I was actually in the instance for the kill.....my corpse, after all, was still in there and there isn't any way I could run back in and swing the fight back in our favor for that last 2%.

I know that, in the grand scheme of things, this isn't that big of a deal, but for me and my guildmates this is a big accomplishment and I would like to be able to say I was there. Can I please have my achievement now? If necessary, I'll give the raid id, screenshots.....hell, we even have a video of the kill.

Edit: Also, I'm sorry if this isn't posted in the proper category.

Q u o t e:
Am I not still in the instance if I don't reclaim my body before the kill?

You seem to be arguing semantics, Pofus, not mechanics. Technically your corpse is in the instance, however, this is how the system currently works. If you die and release before the kill you may not be eligible for all possible rewards.

I am sorry but this is how the system has worked from the initial introduction of the game.
