CLOSED - Patch 7.3: Shadows of Argus Art Contest

Throughout time, artists have set their talents to capturing pivotal moments in history. To commemorate the grandest of crusades for Azeroth’s heroes, we’re asking you to bring forth your talents to encapsulate the campaign into Argus. Let the fel* of your creativity flow using pens, pencil, paints, or your favorite art program to capture the events, people, and environs of the Shadows of Argus for posterity… and prizes.

We’re looking for your best Argus themed artwork either with traditional media or via digital media.

• First Place: Three qualified entrants will be chosen and receive one World of Warcraft: Legion Collector’s Edition signed by the World of Warcraft Art Team and one Starseeker Pet and Mount Bundle.
• Runner-Ups: Ten qualified entrants will be chosen to receive one Starseeker Pet and Mount Bundle.

Entries can be submitted during the period of August 30 through September 30, 2017 to CommunityContestsNA@blizzard.com. Each submission must be a high-resolution JPEG file of no more than 5MB in size to be considered for the contest. A submission must be your original work, and cannot include, in whole or part, any previously created work.

*You may need a bit of green – perhaps some purples too, but definitely green. Use fel responsibly. May cause itching, skin pigmentation changes and irritation, general hunger, and sudden feelings of world domination. Do not use without warlock or demon hunter supervision. Do not use fel and operate heavy machinery. Warnings aside, we’re sure it will all be fine.

I see a lot of questions asking if 3D Sculpts are okay and I just want to verify. I've been planning for some hand painted game ready characters. Is this allowed in the contest?

Yes. We aren't limiting the style of art here.

Nope, go for it! Don't feel like your limited by anything here. We are simply looking for an Argus theme in each piece, whether that's your character or a canon part of the story, a non-canon part of the story, etc.

Sent mine in a couple days ago! I really hope that you guys received it...this is my first art contest ever with Blizzard and I'm really excited!!! I've been playing WoW ever since MoP but never participated in an art contest before. I wish Blizzard made a book and sold it in the shop of just art contest entries done by the fans for the year. Kind of like an art yearbook! I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

Also, my piece was done on canvas so it was difficult to get a perfect photo without any glare while being perfectly true to the colors. Could I send in a follow-up image of the same piece?

Hey Ornyx, I submitted my contest entry. I actually submitted from my Professional e-mail versus my Blizzard Account email. I sent the corresponding e-mail as a response. I hope this won't cause any issue with my entry.

Okay! I have sent it again from the proper e-mail address that is associated with my Blizzard account. I have included (3D Character) in the title of the Subject. Please let me know if it went through on your end if you get a chance.
