They aren't available for purchase with $$ anymore and they are "unavailable" on the AH.

Wow token info site says they are "disabled".

Why would they do this? >.< (that face makes sense if this were FB)

Hey all,

I've just learned that we've disabled WoW Tokens for the time being - this is intentional, and not a bug, but is being looked into.

I don't have details to share on the 'why' or the 'when will they be back' questions you inevitably have, but I'll update you as I can.

Thanks for your patience!

Seriously? Many people can only play this game by using the tokens and you can't even tell them what's going on? Good community manager there.
Thanks! I'm just here to learn from you what being a good community manager is!

OT: I left a comment about three pages ago regarding what happened, and said I would share more information when I could. Obviously that hasn't happened yet, so let's all stay calm. We're working on getting Tokens up as soon as we can.

Question...many of us want to buy tokens right now to apply too our Bnet account balances to buy Overwatch Special Origins Edition which went on sale today for $40 dollars if it takes couple days to figure out this so called problem with Tokens will you extend the length of the sale date of Overwatch for us that are some what real cash strapped but have tons of gold to buy the tokens to buy Overwatch? I just find it quite funny on day we are able to purchase one of Blizzard high end Games that goes on sale all of sudden there is issue with Tokens.
I don't have an exact answer, but I don't expect this to be a long-term downtime or anything. We hope to have a fix in an hour or so pending a disaster, but, again, I can't be 100% sure and just want to stress I don't have an official ETA.

It should be up well before that sale is over on 6/5. :P

Quite agree with your outlook...I feel the same way.....seeing this is first time Overwatch Origins Edition has gone on sale since they allowed WoW tokens to be put to your bnet account balance....they were losing too much real money to tokens that folks have been adding too their bnet balance.

They're... losing money because people are giving them money?...
You foiled our master plan!

Things dealing with actual money and how people pay to play should not be taken down without immediate notification of why. Even if you do not give full reasons something should be given.
As said, there are issues we are looking into. That's the only reason I have to give and have given.

Thank you for your efforts, it has been wonderful conversing with you on the forum here today.

Kinda wish the tokens hadn't come back up except that people actually need those. This level of engagement from the team is wonderful.
It's okay. It's nearly time for me to go home, so it'll be back round to last night's drama soon enough. ;P

See, this is why people are not satisfied with the reporting.

"This is intentional" - we meant to do this.

Okay, WHY? If you can tell us that this is deliberate, then there's no justifiable reason why that doesn't include a deeper, or even rudimentary explanation.

We did this on purpose, but can't tell you why is a surefire way to incite rage and conspiracy. That's only providing half of an answer that's only reasonable to ask and expect.

Security Concerns. System Updates. Emergency Maintenance. Idiot Intern. If you can tell us you intentionally did something then there's no reason why you can't back those intents up with a two word description.

In such silence, the public will always assume the worst.
Honestly, from a player point-of-view I'm confused as to how the reason changes the fact that the Token was disabled for about an hour and is now back up. I think what was important was to say that it was intentional, so folks didn't freak out about their Tokens on the AH being lost, but past that?...

WoW Tokens are pretty sensitive, and in the same vein that we don't talk about exactly why servers might go down, we don't talk about why the Token might be temporarily disabled.

It'd be cool for you to know, but I'd rather protect our systems and security over sharing some rudimentary information. Mountains out of molehills here, me thinks.

Owe blizzard? Wow players should have the same customer service as any other game or service. The problem that people rather bend over and fear a big bad corporation than call bull out.

We paying these people with our money to have a rude and snappy Spicer like CMs to call us stupid when someone ask a question after, it so hard to say we sorry for the confusion nope.
I don't think I have ever called someone stupid for asking a question. If I did, I would correct myself immediately.
