Dalaran Load Screens are unacceptable

The idea that I have to actively avoid Dalaran is ridiculous. As a warrior, using my class hall to get there seems to be quicker as well rather than using the hearthstone because the load screen isn't nearly as ridiculous. To make things worse, I'm an engineer so going to Dal to use the AH is something I like to do since the AH is near the blood trader as well, although I guess that I'm low on bloods now I can forego that but nonetheless...this is unacceptable.

I am about to never use my Dalaran hearth again and just teleport to Shal'Aran and run out to my teleport right outside it to my order hall, and then just get where I need to. Or Garrison Hearth -> Warspear for AH.

<span class="truncated">...</span>

This has at most maybe 5% to do with anything. It's a live online game, it's not stored on your hard drive for later loading as it has to load the game in it's current live state. Loading screen issues have been a problem since 7.1

i'm sure textures/shadows/sprites are loaded server side ° ͜ʖ ͡°
The trolling isn't needed - this is a legitimate issue that has been affecting players and recognized by us.

OT: We're aware of player reports of long load times, and we've published some information on this in the Technical Support forums. The run-down of it is as others have posted here:
Go to the World of Warcraft tab within the Battle.net Desktop app -> Options -> Show in Explorer -> World of Warcraft -> WTF -> Open the Config.wtf file with notepad add the line: SET worldPreloadNonCritical "0" Save the document.

What does the "WTF" mean anyway?
Warcraft Text File... or so they say ;)

I just want to add that there are two known issues right now with loading screens.

1. Loading screens can be very long for HDD users. Pretty much anyone not on a solid state drive should use above edit to config worldPreloadNonCritical "0"

2. There a second less documented issue which gets CONFUSED with the first that's mac specific. If you are on macOS 10.11.x and using metal, you will get very long loading screens. To resolve this issue, you need to update to 10.12.x (for free) to fix the bugs in metal that are causing the hold up. If upgrading to 10.12.x is not available to you, then you need to switch your graphics engine to "OpenGL". Basically, 10.11.x Metal causes loading screen hangs a well. I'm sure blizzard is working on a solution to work around this issue with 10.11 but in meantime I encourage anyone and everyone on 10.11 to upgrade to 10.12.3 as soon as possible as it resolves this issue and MANY others as well as brings better performance to Metal Engine all around.
Good guy Omegal.

This should be a sticky, that way, instead of making constant threads about it, people can easily just reference and apply this value edit.
This is stickied in the technical support forum, which is the proper place for further discussion on the topic.
