Amazon CE Delay - October?!

Just got word from Amazon (today, release day, on the day I was supposed to take delivery) that my Collector's Edition will not arrive until sometime between the end of September and the end of October.

I have many questions, not the least of which is why was I only notified today?

But I spoke to Amazon and they made it clear that this is a manufacturers delay. They were more than willing to give me a digital code to tide me over, but, Blizzard did not supply them with any (as they don't sell the digital version.)

Blizzard - what is up?

Why, after all this time, can you not have a physical fulfillment process tied with a digital code delivery like every other publisher and studio?

Your biggest fans are being treated like second-class citizens. We have to wait for launch day while people that just purchased the digital edition gain weeks of benefits?

This isn't right, and you know it. But you've known it for the last 3 expansions and have done nothing about it.

I have subscribed since day 1, and I have an orc statue to prove it.

I'd like to request you supply a digital license to Legion on my account, even if it's temporary, until I can enter my code from the physical Legion box. Anything less is really a customer-service middle-finger at this point.

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

We have been investigating this and learned that there was a shipping issue which impacted some players who pre-ordered their CE from select retailers. We’re currently working with these retailers to address this issue and make sure these players get their copy of the CE as quickly as possible. We hope that this will be resolved shortly for you and any others affected.
