Update 3:45 p.m. PDT June 9 --

As we lost about four hours of testing before the realm was better-activated at 2:00 p.m. PDT, we will extend the time that the test is available to 2:00 p.m. PDT tomorrow, June 10.

Update 1:58 p.m. PDT June 9 --

The test realm has been up for a few minutes and appears to be operating fairly well.

Thank you for testing with us!

EDIT 10:58 a.m. PDT June 9 --

As you can see, we've experienced some technical difficulties with this test realm. We've currently got it offline in the Beta, and we expect to be patched back up as soon as 2:00 p.m. PDT today. Three hours from now.

Thank you very much for your patience!

On Thursday, June 9, starting at 10:00 a.m. PDT, we will activate a new realm in the Legion Beta. This Beta realm will be named “Demon Invasion", and it will be dedicated to testing the pre-expansion demon invasion event with as many testers as possible for approximately 24 hours. We expect to remove the realm after 24 hours.

We ask that all Beta testers please join us in focusing testing on the “Demon Invasion” realm when it is available. While you may see demon invasions on other Beta realms, testing this content requires that your character remain at level 100, so we ask that you test on the “Demon Invasion” realm only.

Please direct your pre-Legion event feedback to the Beta General Discussion forum, and please direct any feedback you have about other Legion subjects to the appropriate dedicated subforum.

Thank you very much! We’ll see you at the defense of Azeroth!

Sorry for the late notice, we ran into some last minute technical difficulties that delayed this test.

We're going to re-schedule this testing to occur this afternoon at 2pm PDT; we'll provide updates as we get closer to that time if anything looks to prevent this test from occurring.

Thanks for being patient while we work to set this up.

Hi Invasion Testers!

I just wanted to make you aware of a few issues that we're aware of before the test begins:

During some parts of the invasion there's a ground based effect (Fel Creep). If you have your graphics set very low (1 or 2) this green effect doesn't display cleanly. It's visible, but will have patches missing or rough edges. Just something to be aware of while testing this content out.

Additionally, once an invasion starts, the zone map will say it is Under Invasion but there will be no timer visible.

The map icons for Legion Invasions are not visible at the continent or world level. To see if an invasion is active, you'll have to directly click on the zone map for the area. This applies to all six zones that are eligible for Demon Invasion:
Hillsbrad Foothills
Azshara
Tanaris
Dun Morogh
Westfall
Northern Barrens

I'm not a pvper, never cared for it and definitely don't care to be in a major gankfest when I rather actually see what's up with the event.

Did you actually get ganked?

I also got weird green lines - sometimes to the extent that only other characters and their pets could be seen. I have uploaded screenshots for you:

Did you update your client to 21911? If you've been in-game for an hour you might have missed the update.

Alliance Broken shore seems bugged it seems. Horde progressed super fast, alliance had heroes left at some other place.

This happeend as horde.

We'll take a look, although this test doesn't require you to do Broken Shore. You can just go straight to the zones.

Hotfix has been pushed to make the Invasions show up on the continent map; timer and rewards will likely not be accurate but at least it should make finding them easier.

We're changing the server flag to PvE, although it appears PvP flagging was broken the whole time anyway.

We're planning on doing restarts on the Demon Invasion realm at 4pm PDT (~30 minutes from now) to resolve some server issues found so far, properly flag the realm as PvE, and lock out all Legion Expansion Content (Broken Isles, New Dalaran, etc).

We're getting great data from this, keep it up!
