This is the new email when using a trial account:

Q u o t e:
Click here to activate your Free Trial!

If the above link does not work, you can activate your free trial with the following steps:
1. Create a Battle.net® account at http://us.battle.net/account (if you already have a Battle.net account, simply log in.)
2. Under the "Manage My Games" section, click on "Add a New Game."
3. Enter this Authentication Key:

After clicking the "Click here to activate you Free Trial!" link it automatically added the trial the the battle.net, fair enough. Problem is it chose the account name for me "WoW1".

I had purchased a original Wolrd of Warcraft game and upgraded the trial to the regular retail version (level 60 cap). But it still isn't letting me choose my account name. There was no registration information required when clicking that link, it just automatically loaded it to my battlenet.

Questions:
- Is it automatically set up in my name?
- I never got to set a secret question for it?

Please allow me to change the wow account username or refund me

With the new Battle.net account system, the old World of Warcraft account creation process has been replaced. When creating new accounts they must be attached to a Battle.net account which already houses your name and Secret Question Answer. That is why the World of Warcraft account creation process no longer needs those pieces of info.

Individual World of Warcraft account names are also no longer required during account creation. While old account names will continue to exist, being "grandfathered" in, all new accounts will just be numbered accordingly, as you mentioned, when added to your Battle.net so they can be differentiated. The Billing Department does not have a direct way to change account names, so calling them regarding the account name would not be necessary at this time.

While there is no current plan to add modifiable labels for World of Warcraft accounts in the account management page you could compile and write up the idea for our developers in the Suggestions Forum.

If you have any interesting ideas for how the accounts could be labeled or managed on the players end then feel free to add them here so they can be reviewed by Blizzard and your fellow gamers :)
