Q u o t e:
Greetings,

This notice is being sent to inform you that we were unable to successfully process the recently requested Paid Character Transfer on the World of Warcraft account *****. As such, the character has been locked pending review by Customer Support. No charges have been processed for this Paid Character Transfer.

1. WHY THIS PAID CHARACTER TRANSFER WAS DECLINED:

This Paid Character Transfer was declined due to one of two reasons:

- You did not recently request a Paid Character Transfer, and the service was requested by another person. It is possible your account has been compromised, or accessed by an unauthorized party.

- You did recently request a Paid Character Transfer, and the method of payment used to purchase the service was declined by our systems.

If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/loginsupport/

So after yesterday where it was confirmed that you could not trade gold for a transfer (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=20677860203&postId=206758699034&sid=1#0), i went on a search outside of WoW to find someone i could send a PayPal payment to do it for me (since you guys do not take PayPal for some odd reason).

This morning i get this email and i can no longer log into my character it says "You can not log in until the character update process you recently initiated is complete". Have i been scammed?

What do i do now, blizzard are the ones who told me on this forum yesterday that i wasn't aloud to trade gold for another wow service because its still real world trading, so i paid real world money for a transfer because i don't own a credit card.

I believe i have done the right thing here and been totally FBOMB'd on. What do i do my toon is now un-playable.

The e-mail you posted means that the payment provided was unable to be finalized, which can happen for a number of reasons. You can call the Billing department directly to provide a credit card for payment, or have them cancel the transaction and return the character back to its original realm.

I really could not recommend attempting to pay other people to use their credit card on your account unless you know them well and can trust them. Alternatives if you do not have a credit card are limited at this time. Not all pre-paid credit cards work in our system do to verification requirements but some have had success. Others also speak the praise of the PayPal virtual debit card which acts like a credit card using your PayPal account. As I am not a representative of PayPal I wouldn't be able to provide the full details on their system but since you have a PayPal account you may wish to look into that method.

If you do not have another payment method available I can just process the cancellation and have your character returned to the original realm. If you would like me to do this for you please reply with the name of the character, the original realm, and the destination realm, to make sure I am looking at the right one.

This would help you out in avoiding the phone call if all you need is to have it canceled out.
