As a side note, if an item is considered faction-specific and possesses a cross-faction equivalent, this will be noted within the Armory.
Take, for example, your Windrunner's Legguards of Conquest. Here's the Alliance version of this leg piece:
In the upper left-hand corner of the item's description rests a small, circular symbol of a lion. This symbol indicates that the item is faction-specific and Alliance-only. On the right-hand side of this same page, there's a box labeled "Item Facts." In this box, you'll see a section titled "Horde Equivalent." While this title is fairly self-explanatory, the item listed below will be Horde equivalent of these Alliance pants/legs—or what the item will be exchanged for following a Faction Change. Click on the item's name and you'll be brought to the corresponding Armory page.
If you're curious about any other items in your inventory, go ahead and check their Armory pages to see if 1) they are considered faction-specific and 2) if a cross-faction equivalent exists. :)
