Yes, you don't want to just keep plugging at it if you get an error. That can stack up multiple pending charges. While no money will actually be deducted for those, they can and usually do reduce your available balance till they clear.
You can try clearing your cookies/cache in your browser, or try another browser. If this is browser related that normally helps - but I'd only try that once more.
