Ok. Im a bit confused. I am under the impression that Druids cannot train in axes, yet I just received an Axe in Blood Furnance that says, and i quote, "Warsong Howling Axe, increases attack power in cat, bear, dire bear and moonkin forms by 217 and attack power by 80" If Druids cant use Axes, then who is supposed to use this one?

It says that because you are viewing the item on your Druid. :)

You will automatically view the attack power you "could" gain while viewing a weapon. So if you could equip that item that is the AP that you would receive while in Cat, Bear, Dire Bear or Moonkin form.

If you view the same item on a different character you'll see the normal stats (i.e. plus 37 Stamina, Increases attack power by 80).

Ok so I asked around, and apparently Druids can see potential stats on weapons IF they were able to use it...can I ask whats the point in that? If I cant use it, why do I care? Thats like shoving a piece of cake in front of a fat kid and telling them they cant have it. Seriously Blizzard. Srsly.

As stated, it is automatic. This isn't a secret stat that was manually added to existing items. This is a stat that exists based on the weapon stats. If you look at an item on your Druid you will see the Attack Power you could gain from using it.
