Blizzard Blue People:
I have been playing the game for going on 3.5 years. I have had nothing but fun playing when I am in the game but the problems are becoming more and more frequent. After patch 3.2 I had to unistall the game and reload it twice, and now we are being MADE to merge with the battle.net I merged my account today and now I can no longer log into the game at all. It directs me to a "help page" that does not offer any bit of help. I would really like someone to help me get back in especially since I am a huge fan of these holiday type things and I am missing Halloween.

I have tried both. I thought I was to use my battle.net email/pass but that gives me an error. I cannot recall exaclty as I am posting from work ATM. I will post with the exact phrase tomorrow. I did try using my old login/username and I get prompted for my authenticator but after I enter that it gives the error. I appreciate the responses. I really miss the game and it has not even been 12 hrs. away :( Pathetic I know.

Leandra, if you can post the exact symptoms, we will certainly do our best to assist.

I was able to login from home since the bnet made me use my authenticator. It is when I try logging onto the game that I get the error message. Again, I will post that here once I get home and try to log back on. I did receive an email from bnet saying that username: XYZ is now :[email protected] I tried different possible combinations and still having no luck.

Do post once you are home. The account you are currently posting under seems merged, and authenticators do inherit to B.net accounts so that sounds like it worked. The new account name will be the x@email address with your new password. Otherwise, logging in is very much the same as it's always been.

If you have more than one WoW account merged to a single Battle.net account (and you can have up to eight), you'll get a dropdown list to pick from.

Thanks for that. I do have another question however. I reference this post from the battle.net site;

"How do I log in to the game after I've merged a World of Warcraft account to a Battle.net Account?

After you complete the account merge process, you will use the Battle.net Account information (i.e. the email address and password you designated) to log in to World of Warcraft. The old World of Warcraft account name will no longer be used to log in to the game, the World of Warcraft forums, or the Armory."

I used my old loging/password to get acces to this forum and DID NOT have to use my bnet one. However the above posting says that I shoul dhave had to. I can not log into my account for the game in this manner as it did merge.

It does look merged, yes.

Forums can be a bit trickier. If you were logged in and hadn't logged out, it can still allow your old password for awhile. It can also take a little while for password changes to migrate here.

This may also be a case that needs a bit more attention, but once you are home and can try to login with exact symptoms, that will let us know which direction this needs to proceed to get you ingame.

This is usually a port or scanner issue that is blocking connection.

I'd start with this FAQ.

Players that use Trend Micro anti virus in particular may have to tweak permissions to connect.
