Character Transfer after Battle.net Merge

Is there a waiting period after a Battle.net account merge for character transfers? Or is the error I'm getting just because the database is still waiting for an update?

Edit:: Yes, I did read the FAQs, didn't see anything yet.

Hey Dracuskaia! Just for confirmation, did you happen to review this article: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=26163

Also, are you attempting to transfer within the same Battle.net account or outside of it? If within the same Battle.net account, you shouldn't be experiencing any difficulty transferring between associated accounts (provided that your cooldown is up and all other PCT requisites are met).

Can you list the name and realm of the character you're attempting to transfer for me? :)

Aha. That would do it. :)

Q u o t e:
30 Day Restriction on Transfers Between Battle.net Accounts

When a World of Warcraft account is merged with a Battle.net account, an additional temporary transfer restriction is put into place. This will also affect account-to-account transfers in a few ways:

    • For 30 days after the merge, character transfers are only possible between World of Warcraft accounts that are merged within the same Battle.net account.

    • During the 30 day transfer restriction period, character transfers may not be made to a different Battle.net account. Transfers from different Battle.net accounts which are older than 30 days are still permitted.

    • Transfers within the same Battle.net account are still subject to the standard 3-day Character Transfer cooldown.

The error message you are receiving, then, is intended. If the WoW account from which you are trying to transfer a character has been merged less than 30 days, you will be unable to transfer outside of its Battle.net (to other Battle.net accounts).

Apologies for any confusion!

Can you provide me the name and realm of a character on the source account, Dracuskaia?

Thanks, Bloodrayne. The brain cogs are still churning a bit slowly. :)

Dracuskaia, in order for transfers to be possible between Battle.net accounts, both Battle.net accounts must be registered to the same name. If I've located the appropriate destination account, it does not appear that this is the case. Can you provide me the name and realm of a character on your girlfriend's account (the new account) so that I may confirm, though? I just wish to be as precise as possible here.

With that said, it appears this situation is a touch more complicated than I first surmised. While your intentions were not malicious in any way, your girlfriend may only play on those accounts registered in her name (as you've noted). I would sincerely encourage you to contact our Billing & Account Services department to discuss your and your girlfriend's options in greater detail.
