I don't understand, WHY we're getting battle.net shoved down our throats.

I own multiple accounts and don't feel like adding them all to ONE battle.net account, considering if I were to ever be keylogged, or have my information leaked, ALL of my accounts would be on ONE login selection, which comprimises all, instead of one.

I ask of you, WHY is Battle.net better than regular logins and why are you shoving it down our throats?

Q u o t e:
I don't feel like paying for a peice of crap.

Our Battle.net systems are compatible with our Mobile Authentication applications. These applications are often free of charge and available for many mobile providers: http://mobile.blizzard.com/support-compat.html/

That said, they're from far "crap"—a term I'd encourage you to avoid using while referencing this product. As Malkorix noted:
Q u o t e:
We have not yet found one confirmed case of an account having been compromised with an active, merged authenticator. While an Authenticator is not completely fool proof, it can be a very substantial addition to the normal security one should employ on any system they play World of Warcraft from.

I understand that change can be difficult, particularly when it's believed the outcome is unknown. There's many resources available regarding our Battle.net systems, though, and I'd greatly recommend that you review them: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=20462447788&sid=1&pageNo=1#1
