Battle.net merge question

Hi, I merged my account right before the required merge was announced, so I have no problems with that.

My question is about the penguin pet that is being sent out. Which character on the account will be sent the penguin? How does blizzard know which character to send it to?

Actually, this will work in the same way as the Grunty pet or the collector's edition pets from Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. An existing character will be sent the pet when it logs in for the first time after the pet is made available.

You will need to log into the character in order to claim the pet but the mail won't be sitting there until you log into the character.
