...gets asked everyday by some unfortunate person having issues usually followed up with 'that has nothing to do with the problem...why do GM's justtell you to do that in some stupid macro reply..they think it fixes everything...dur dur dur"...

Today I found out why GM's tell you to remove or rename your WTF and WDB folders:

A couple of weeks ago I started noticing a slight 'smooshiness' in my character movement. Usually when twisting around during a jump. The character seemed to be just a little slow, and the screen would seem to spin just a little too far. This got increasingly worse as time went by, and today I finished levelling my mage to 70 ..just barely. By the time I dinged I was ready to choke my monitor..the smooshiness was now muddiness. I could barely turn him without having to spin my mouse all over.

A long time back I noticed that character names would become unclickable in a party until I reloaded my UI (after joining a party)... I just got into the habit of doing this even though annoying. This caused me a few wipes with my healer as I would join a party, we would start the instance and I couldnt heal anyone... their portraits displayed half black/half normal and could not be selected (nor their names) which made healing a bit difficult.

I use the Decursive mod, and try as I might, I could not set the Hot key permanently (which is really annoying since it brings up a huge warning that says the hot key has not been set every time you login, or perform some actions.)

For some time now, zoning in and out of instances, or portals would take forEVER... the screens took ages to load.

I have also been experiencing general weirdness when looting, changing weapons, getting mail, buying stuff in bulk from vendors and lots of other little things.

I was getting really fed up, thinking many unkind things about developers and their lack of intelligence, and spent many an idle moment wishing dark and nasty things upon them.

So, today I finally ran out of patience, and having lurked here a long time, decided to try that GM=ly advice and I removed my WTF and WDB folders.

Rebooted, re-configured my mods...and voila...every single issue disappeared. Every single one.

Remove the folders? Are you serious!? Yes, because IT WORKS.

Much love to the GM staff for what they do...:)
