I have a friend who JUST came back to World of Warcraft after many attempts of getting him back and you guys ban him with the following:

> ***Notice of Account Closure***
>
> Account Name:

> Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative
> Activity: Abuse of the Economy
>
> This account was closed because one or more characters were
> identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of,
> in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency.
> This exchange process negatively impacts the World of
> Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of
> the in-game economy.

First off, he only had 50 gold on his entire account. Second, he JUST came back on merely days ago.

Is this happening to anyone else today?!?!?!?!?!?

I highly think this is a mistake by blizzard. He attempted to call the number about the closure and they sent him to a recording that gave useless information and hung up on him. This is not what I call customer service.

Please return his account. Thank you.

Q u o t e:

I actually work customer service and in our Service Level Agreement, if a customer is not happy, they speak with someone. Escalations, management, etc. work to resolve the problem in an appropriate timeframe.

There are actually very good reasons why all contact with our Account Administration staff is handled via email, though I apologize if you find the process frustrating =(.
