Q u o t e:
EVERYONE I know has now been hacked including myself and it all has happened like a day after our accounts have run out of time.... Seems weird to me.
I'm not certain how that relates to the Battle.net Account Management system, Slots. Phishing attempts have increased over the last few months, most notably several in-game trying to get you to claim a prize from a contest that you were "drawn into" as well as e-mail phishing scams.
Not to mention that keyloggers and other malicious programs are constantly being developed and altered to slip passed detectors.
What tends to happen is people try to make a connection between one occurrence and another, which is usually difficult when you do not have all the facts. Like if you had a keylogger or other malicious program, where did you get it? Is your compromise the same as the other person you talked to who was compromised, from the same source or did they answer a phishing attempt or visit a spoof website?
Our systems remain secure. Please use the recommended resources to check yours.
