Dear Blizzard Customer Support:

I have been trying to create a battlenet account for the upcoming mandatory account conversion. I have been unsuccessful. When I enter my email address on the screen that sets up the account (the one that asks for password and secret question) I get "email is use". I am unable to proceed any further.

I do not know what to do. I have not set up a battle net account in the past. I only play World of Warcraft on my computer and participate in no other games with Blizzard or anyone else for that matter. My account has never had any security issues. I have happily played this game for almost five years and had no problem-until now.

I am very unhappy at being forced to go through this whole process. For me, at least, this has been nothing but trouble. I keep asking myself, why should I put up with this nonsense? Any help would be appreciated. I am very frustrated.

Sincerely,

Rastin

edit:

I also note the following:
1) I cannot get through to Customer Service on the phone, all I get is a busy signal.

2) I cannot even access the account creation screen, my computer freezes just trying to open the screen.

3)./sigh :(

Q u o t e:
have you made any purchases from the blizzard store? if so that would be your battle.net account.

Correct!

Also, it's not a bad plan to establish an entirely new email address that you use for no other purpose but your Battle.net account.

If you experience further issues establishing your Battle.net account, you may find our sticky on the subject useful as well:
