Season 3 shoulders 2000 rating is stupid

I can understand wanting to give high ranking players their deserved props and such, but the whole point of a 5 piece set is so you have the option to customize your armor with different non arena items while still retaining your 4 piece or 2 piece bonus.

For instance, I am an engineer. I like my googles since its the one decent thing engineers actually get. I also like my 2 piece set bonuses from the gladiator and merciless set. Next season I was planning to upgrade my 2 gladiator pieces to season 3 shoulders and chest, while still keeping the merciless legs and gloves and my engineering googles. I can no longer do that without buying the head piece instead of the shoulders.

Blizzard you're limiting armor customization for pvpers. Please reconsider the 2000 rating requirement for the shoulders. If your only concern is for aesthetic purposes, give them a cool title or something once they hit the 2000 mark. Shoulders do not warrant a 2000 rating requirement.

As of patch 2.3 all items in the gladiator season 1, 2, and 3 sets will be part of the same set, so you can use those items interchangably and keep the set bonuses (ie: you can wear the season 2 shoulders along with the season 3 helm, chest, legs) and retain the 4 piece set bonus.

Nice, thats really awesome.

The different specs are still going to be different sets though, no?

Correct, different specs are different sets.

You had better be changing the 4pc set bonus then, -1 second of concussive shot is absolutely horrible and no way better than +35 resilience :/

Many of the set bonuses have been updated (including that one). The new 4 piece set bonuses are also retroactive as a result of the above change.
