7 WoW chars, 1 causes DC loading UI

jeprscreprs cannot log into the game. Each and every time I am able to log into the realm, select that char (I see the last zone referenced on the char selection screen), enter world, status bar reaches end, and where I usually see the UI, avatar, etc. I see “Disconnected from Server”. Each and every time. ALL of my other characters load FINE. I have an alt in shadowmoon that loads fine, that is the same zone jeprscreprs is in.

- I have tested this on 3 computers now, 2 different networks (home and work).
- Clearing that cache, del WoW tmp folders, running repair has been done several times.
- I contacted a GM and he tried to “unstuck” but that did not help.
- I requested a “move” via in game petition last night but I needed to log, I didn’t have 2 hours to wait around like I did for the first GM.

Like I mentioned, the game works fine for my other 6 alts. It’s just this 1 that gets DC each and every time I attempt to enter the world. I do not get far enough to see the UI, avatar, etc.

Now jeprs is now missing from the char list, on 2 diff computers, so I am hoping that someone might be doing something about it on the Blizz side.

Sorry for the scare, Jeprs; your matter is, indeed, currently under investigation. I'll let you know when it's safe to look again. ;)

For those of you who are evidently unable to log in after having logged out with the Dragonmaw Illusion buff active, when was the last time you were able to log into the character normally? Have you played since the 2.2.0 patch went live, or is this the first time you've attempted to play the affected character since the update occurred? Did you also have the Dragonmaw Nether Drake buff active when you last logged out? Thanks. :)

You should find that your character has miraculously returned, Jeprscreprs; if you're still following this thread, can I have you try to log in again? :)

Taconite, Cerlia, if you're still around, can you also try logging into your characters again and see if you have any success? Thanks. :)

Thanks much Pavonum! I am logged in once again! Was it something to do with any local cache on the realm server or something? I am just curious, I del roaming profiles for windows servers a lot to resolve issues @ work.

We're still investigating possible causes for the issue you experienced, Jeprs; please let us know if it happens to recur at any point. :)

Thanks again Blizz :)

Our pleasure, friend. :)

I was able to log in and kill a mob and get a soul shard, anything else you want me to try?

Nope, that should be enough to confirm that your character's functioning normally once again. :)

Graendal, Lalena, can I have you both attempt to log into your characters? Try logging in twice if you're still disconnected the first time. :)

Should I test anything else out? OTHER than going back to SMV, cause that's not going to happen any time soon. :P

Nope, you should be good to go. Sorry for any inconvenience you may have been caused in the meantime, Graendal. :)
