Blizz public relations lawl

Does blizzard just not have a public relations team? I know I will probably get flamed for this, but with the recent few patches Blizz has completely destroyed any form of sub-80 play aside from leveling on your way to 80.
These patches have forced everybody to either level to 80 and play there, or cancel their accounts -- and i can only hope that blizzard has noticed all the accounts being cancelled.

As a public relations specialist IRL, I must say that this is by far the worst treatment of paying customers that I have witnessed in a very very long time. I am ashamed at the amount of monthly charges and transfer fees I have paid on my two accounts full of 39's, 49's, 60's, and yes, 80's -- all for it to come to be a complete waste of all my time and money spent the past 3 or 4 years that I've been playing.

Thanks for telling us all exactly how to play the game we love. <removed>

Here's to throwing in the towel and cancelling my 2nd account =(

While the end-game is certainly the current focus of our Developers, may I ask how gameplay on the way to 80 was 'destroyed' exactly? I've seen this phrase bandied about a bit lately, but it's all very vague, and I'm curious to hear what you mean by this.

If this is related to the shift of the Onyxia instance, then this was done to revitalize an instance for the majority of our players. Now more players than ever before will not only be able to experience Onyxia as a proper challenge, but also receive high end rewards for doing so.

I apologize if you find that disappointing for some reason.

If this is related to the battleground re-structuring, then this was done to help eliminate a form of exploitation that was occurring and to smooth out battleground experience gain on the way to 80, as Alterac Valley was providing too much. Fortunately, those who wish to remain at a level below level 80 can still disable all experience gain to avoid leveling further. A statement regarding that change was issued here:

Clarifications on Changes to Alterac Valley

If I can help explain further, or perhaps ease your frustration regarding some other issue, I'll be delighted to try, and I'm sorry if any of the recent changes have been upsetting to you. Everything we do, we do to try to provide a better and better experience for our players, after all.

This thread has devolved from a discussion into trolling and counter-trolling. Thus, I will be locking it up now.
