Heirloom XP items and Battlegrounds.

A while ago I posted this topic and was rewarded with a Blizzard rep pointing me to another in which it was answered.

The thread stated that while Heirloom XP bonuses did not currently function in regards to Battleground experience gain, they were looking into it and would let us know once they have made any decisions/fixes/changes etc.

My question to the GM's currently answering threads is whether we know any more? Do Heirloom XP items currently effect BG experience?

Actually, yes, Motrax. As of Patch 3.2.2, these items now grant bonus experience in battlegrounds. :)
