"Different classes are different"

I'm just curious why so many threads get this response posted in them.

In classic wow, this was true. In the game right now, it's easier to see what class is unique based on its limitations rather than what it brings to the table. Here are a few examples of things that have changed since classic WoW that have changed as a result of people QQing that there was something their class didn't have:

1) Classes that have MS or MS proxies
2) Classes that have pets
3) Hybrids matching and in some cases beating pures in dps
4) Raid buff hemogenization
5) 8/10 classes can self heal effecively
6) All classes can aoe
7) Removal of CC as a role (in pve)

"Different classes are different" = the new "classes aren't balanced on 1v1."

If different classes are different, then why has so much QQ brought us from a place where you rolled your class based on the role you wanted to fulfill to one where everyone does everything equally, but some people have the option to be more equal than others?

You're not going to win this argument with "Because some things are shared, everything must be shared."
