This thread WAS about Blizzard ruined old AV

And instead turned into almost 30 pages of you all whining about Ghostcrawler.

You whined about the wrong damn thing. What's the point in crying about 5% DPS differences when AV is left as the broken, mangled shell of a BG it was?

You know what, move this thread to the PvP forums. At least give us false hope Blues still pay attention to that forum. As you said, "if you want to make sure the devs read your thoughts, post here".

I always said that when my posting was doing more harm than good that maybe it was time to stop. I think I'll at least chill it out a little. I will continue to read the forums though. If you want to make sure the WoW developer see your feedback, this is still a good place to post.

Thanks for saying so many nice things. Fret not - the trolls didn't win. The haters don't get me upset or wear me down. Usually they just make me smile. :)

As I said, I'm not abandoning the forums. I just want to steer them back to being more about the classes and less about the developers. There are far too many "What do we have to do to get you to buff us?" and "Blizzard is dumb because they won't buff us" posts. As I have always, always said, make good points and we will read them. You don't need a blue post to validate a good thread.

I am going to continue to respond to topics I want to discuss, not the ones you think are most important (largely because you all won't agree anyway). To those of you who think player feedback accomplishes nothing, you're still wrong. :)

EDIT: Typos. iPhone + yacht FTL.

We're not going to ban our way to gentler forums. We just don't think that's appropriate for a community of our size. Really when you think about it, it's not the true trolls that are the problem. Everyone is pretty good at shutting them up or ignoring them. The problem are the guys who just think their class is busted, don't want to hear people say it isn't, and get mad when we don't immediately offer a fix. Those players aren't just being jerks - they are often legitimately confused, which is why we try to address it with more communication, including the time-honored GC post about how the forums aren't here just so you can call the devs out on the mat.

WTB fewer "why aren't our issues being addressed?" posts. Those typically are not very interesting to most of the community. Talking about the issues is fine.

Sorry this post got all garbled. Yacht hit rough seas or something.

I was trying to say that we don't want to be in a position where we have to prove our changes are acceptable to the community. We don't think a good game will come of that. You are welcome to disagree with... well anything really, but we are unlikely to give the community that much authority. Sorry. :(
