Stolen Authentication Code!

Good afternoon, I'm new to the forums. I never thought I'd post here, but today, I've got good reason to.

Okay, today, for $40, I bought Wrath of the Lich King, to upgrade my account. When I got home, I hopped on the site, and entered my authentication code into the proper place, to upgrade my account. What happens? The site says my code has already been used. So I try again, 4 more times. The same thing happens each time. By now, I'm infuriated, and ready to bite nails in two.

Someone somehow managed to get my code that I paid for, more than likely by lucky guess, luck and chance, or possibly even hacking! I don't want to have wasted $40, so can someone give me some help here, preferrably a GM or Admin?

I can understand how this can be frustrating for you, Luné. We have a couple ways we can address this situation though. =)

The first thing you may want to do is log into Account Management and check the “Account Type”. If under “Account Type” it says Wrath of the Lich King, then the account was upgraded successfully. Occasionally the key will state it is in use, when in actuality it was applied to the account. If this is not the case, is it possible there was another account you inadvertently upgraded?

If you do not fall into the above scenario, please return the product to the place of purchase. The retailer has sold you a defective product and they should have policies in place to address issues such as this.

If the retailer is not willing to provide an exchange, please contact Billing and Account Services for further instructions.
