I think the end has come =/

My purpose here is not to whine in hopes of a buff or nerf like everyone else seems to enjoy doing. I have been playing this game for some time now, and have enjoyed most of it (until recently...). I would like to leave a short explanation of why and a few opinions.

Death Knights: I firmly believe that the creation of this character set in motion a domino effect that is now irreversible. Even GC himself admitted to the extensive utility and power of this class and then didn't really do much aside from blaming it on beta testers (not an acceptable answer GC) and letting the community deal with it. Giving a melee character the ability to pull its enemy towards it undermines any attempt at CC that might have been employed. I at least have the ability to blink away, I can't imagine how terrible this must be for my fellow clothies. I could go on for quite some time about this but in short; the constant dps, damage mitigation, and utility of DKs has forced the evolution of many aspects of the game (for the worse).

Healing Classes: Healing is out of control. A single unmitigated penance (no healing debuffs) can bring a target to full hp in a single cast. This is found in all healing classes (different spells but the same ability to full heal what took a dps class 15 seconds to do in 1 cast). How is this balance? Why do I have to have some form of healing debuff in order to kill something?

Burs:t Burst is a terrible terrible thing. Partly the reason healing is so out of control at the moment too. Anyone who was caught by an arcane mage, rogue, or survival hunter without any major defensive cooldowns (ice block, cos, vanish, shield wall, etc) knows exactly how fast these classes can down you if they blow major dps cooldowns. Burst undermines skill and is a crutch for gimmicky classes and players. This is also part of the reason why healing is how it is.

The Clothy/Caster Handicap: The clothy/caster handicap is what all cloth wearers and casters suffer as soon as they encounter any other high armor wearing class (mainly plate). The mechanics of this game greatly favor mobility while doing damage, which is what casters lack by a lot. LOS in arenas is used as a defensive ability, but if used by a caster against a melee is quite useless (especially if they have improved run speed). So as soon as I enter a LOS heavy arena vs melee, I am already at a disadvantage that cannot be made up for. Also, a caster must play "perfectly". Kiting someone for 12 seconds with a 2 second slip up allows for a melee class to remove at least half of your health in about 2 gcds. I have to move around and do my instant casts while the melee class has a full arsenal of mobile moves...

What Needs to be Done: I believe it's too late. Short of eliminating the dk class and reverting all major class changes (ones born from the "dk problem") and cutting healing and dps in half. I don't see how the game could be saved at this point, hence my leaving =/

My 2 C Strictly opinion here, but I believe blizzard has lost all care for "development" and increasing the fun of the game. All I see are oddball changes every patch witch seem to only be there to keep stringing people along until the next expansion. This is corporate greed and ignorance. We have become dollar signs and pointless patches are the fishing line reallng everyone back in. Well I just don't enjoy this anymore at all. Already got a level 20 sorc on Aion and am LOVING it. No DKs and no stupidity. And get this! I even got a survey option today asking for my feedback on certain game mechanics! WOW! This is what it feels like to have your devs care for your opinion! I really do wish WOW could be what it once was, but thank God some other company picked up right where blizzard left off =D

Bash if you like, I will probably respond.

While I personally disagree with much of what you said, we have no problem with you expressing your point of view on class balance here. Your last paragraph however crossed the line. That's not appropriate for our forums. Find somewhere else to vent.
