Battle for the Undercity

Good Morning,

First, let me preface this with I already have submitted 2 tickets on my question. The first petition is as follows:

Petition: I completed the quest A Royal Coup & The Killing Time, took the portal to The Undercity, I thought perhaps my quest was bugged so I dropped The Battle for The Undercity thinking I could reacquire the quest, seems I am unable to. What are my options? How can I get the quest back? Thank you for your help.

GM response: Answer: Near the sewer entrance for Undercity there will be an NPC which will get you back on the right track.

Here is my issue/question:

I am currently at the last step of “Battle for the Undercity” where you speak with the NPC, Broll Bearmantle at the sewer entrance. I spoke with him, and at that point the quest seemed to take an enormous amount of time to progress. After waiting a few minutes I abandoned the quest thinking I could get it again.

Now, neither Broll, nor King Wrynn will allow me to regain the quest line. I returned to Stormwind in the hopes of picking up the quest line again only to discover that the portal will not return me to Broll at the sewer entrance.

Is there something I am missing to get the last step to finish the quest line?

The character and realm in question is:
Rosanna
Llane

The second is currently pending investigation as I just submitted it this morning. I did go into more detail thinking I was a bit vague in the first ticket. The reason I am posting here as well is that I am unsure if I was clear enough in the second ticket due to the limitation of space.

Thanks for any insight you guys may have 

Hey, Rosanna. :)

I just hopped onto your character and re-visited Broll Bearmantle near the Undercity's sewer entrance. "The Battle for the Undercity" was indeed offered, no strings attached. The next time you're in the area, just make sure to touch base with him and he'll prep you for battle.

Also, with that said, the Battle for the Undercity runs at scheduled intervals, so you may have to wait for a while before the next attack begins. A timer should display overhead which functions as a veritable countdown; additionally, I believe King Wrynn should also provide verbal warnings when the assault draws near.

Q u o t e:
Hey Syndri,
Can you hop on my toon and check out what is going on? I accepted the quest The Battle For The Undercity, waited 5 minutes then the battle went on. I killed the worm boss with the help of the king then went down the sewers. Upon reaching it the king stops and says something about the horde then says "Onward" and a bunch of stitches things spawn. At this time I instantly get disconnected from server and am unable to log back in. I have disabled all mods and restarted the quest and the same thing happens.

The problem is I have made 6 or so attempts and it continues to instantly do this and I am unable to log in for 10 - 15 minutes until the quest fails which leads to something else.

See since I took this quest I can no longer see the original under city and am unable to complete the quest to wreck hallows end for the horde which is causing some pretty nasty issues so I either need someone to remove this entire chain and reset it so I don't have any of them so I will be able to see the original under city and do the seasonal quests or I need this to be fixed.

You are on the right trac, Happy.

Have you reset your UI yet? I'd give that a shot and do that line sans any addons re-enabled at all.

Sounds like something just isn't happy with something in that event.

Once you clear that questline, the zones should all appear normal to you again.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.

More detailed instructions for different operating systems, including Macs are here.

If you find this continues to happen after a full reset UI sans any addon at all, please do let us know.

Ouch.

Well, thank you for going through those steps for me.

I actually just got word there may be an issue with this on your realm/battlegroup.

I'd hold off on this for awhile, this is being looked into right now as to possible reasons why.

Hopefully we'll hear back a resolution before too very long. I'd keep checking back.

I am terribly sorry for this inconvenience.

Alright,
While I wait can you or someone please move my character to the entrance of the cave? I've died way to many times because of this bug tonight and I'd really appreciate it if someone could move me out of that so I can at least log in and do some other achievements.

Thank you.

This character? He should be in Southshore now, please try him to make sure he moved properly.

Quick update: Went through the quest again, crashed at the same point (right after the Apothecary dude says "minions don't let them through". Second pc also crashing, so it may have been simply a time lapse that let me in before.

Character is inaccessible now.

We are still waiting to hear back from the devs on this, Leandi. This seems to be isolated to Alliance in the Whirlwind group primarily.

Keep an eye out here, we shall try to post if we get any further updates.
