Grunty Pet BoC not BoA?

If this is the wrong forum, please move to the right one.

I just wanted to know if the grunty pet was BoA (bind on account) - i.e. when I get him ingame, will he only be able to be used with 1 of my characters (i.e. BoC, Bind on Character) or with all of them? I did not see this explained anywhere and heard reports that he was only able to be used with 1 Character...$30-40 is a high price to pay to just only have access to the pet for 1 character (granted I did get to enjoy and watch Blizzcon ;) ).

The actual item is Bind on Pickup, Vicious, but the item will be mailed to each character on your Battle.net account. :)
