Ok, Pet Resilience...

So, I hit 80 like 2 - 3 weeks ago and have suffered the horrors of going from 0 - 600 or so resilience against geared players. Then again, I've also fought similarly geared people during that time...

Everything changes as you get resilience. A fight between a mage vs a warlock (randomly picked warlock, don' make a deal of it) who both have 100 resilience may give the advantage to the mage... but when they both have 400 resilience, the fight can shift in the warlocks favor. By 600 resilience, it may be back to mage having the advantage... etc.

Anyway, it has always seemed silly to me not to just have a flat 100% resilience bonus to pets due to how weird scaling is with resilience compared to other stats. With the pvp changes, it might be worth talking about.

I'm not trying to troll here, but in a lot of the "PvP AE vs. pets" threads, hunters are saying pet resilience is useless and would be useless at 100%.

We certainly don't think pet resilience is useless. We are considering increasing it to 100% of master's resilience to make up for the increased AE damage pets will take in PvP. We don't want pets to explode on contact (neither do we want pet classes to be twice as difficult to kill) but we did think it was a little goofy and unintuitive that pets could just shrug off AE attacks in PvP. We'd rather make pets tougher against all types of damage than be vulnerable to some and nearly immune to others.
