Incorrect 'flagged for rename' message.

I transferred my Alliance hunter to Blackrock a few days ago, and its original name was taken on the new server. Once the transfer was complete I started a faction change without ever logging into the hunter, leaving it with its gibberish name from the transfer. My faction change just completed, and I customised the hunter and renamed it in the customisation screen.

Now that the hunter is Horde, whenever I try to log into it I get the message 'Your name has been flagged for rename'. I already renamed my character to an available name on the faction change customisation screen, and I want to keep that name.

Please un-flag the hunter for rename so I can play it with the name I have chosen.

When you transferred to the new realm the character was flagged for a name change because the name that that character had was already taken. Since you didn't log in and initiated a Faction Change that flag remained.

With that said... you should be good to log into the character, Opallia. :)

See if this is resolved for Ahava now, it should be.
