Running naxx25 in all blues?

So, I hit 80 about five days ago. My boy has insisted on me running naxx 25, though through farming heroics I never saw any epic hunter drops. I got a belt from reg TOC, a piece of tier8 gear, and a piece of PvP gear.
Well, I couldn't resist the urge to raid(being stuck at 70 for a month = LOTS of raiding for me), so I decided, "Why not?"
Now, there were a few people in the raid that were a little "Wtf" about me being there because they weren't in either of the guilds that planned this. Everyone from the two guilds was fine, but we had a couple QQing. When I won three items on the first boss it was the "Gear scaim's girlfriend" raid. lulz. Overall, they said I did good for being in all blues. 1.3k dps to start, and after winning & equipping my bow, went up to 2.4k.
So what are your thoughts on a fresh 80 being taken through Naxx25 undergeared? Granted, I know that I was floating on everyone else, but I never would have asked to go if my boy hadn't been so adamant about it. Thoughts? Similar stories? Trolling?

I did something similar a while back, except it was actually a worse situation. Right after hitting 80 on my death knight, I was pulled into a 25-player Naxxramas emblem farming run. Luckily I knew most of the other players, as I've raided Ulduar with them on my warlock and they're aware of my capabilities. The problem at the time was, though, that I hadn't ever even run an instance on my death knight before doing Naxxramas and had little experience with melee classes in a group setting.

It was definitely a crash course in melee DPS. My damage was pretty pitiful until I started getting a good amount of substantial upgrades, but at least I knew all of the encounters and didn't die for stupid reasons. Well, save for the Spectral Death Knight's whirlwind (at least I believe that was the dude). Hey! These are things you sometimes don't take into consideration as much when you're used to ranged DPS! :p
