Way to ruin the Lore

..whats left of it. I know most of you dont give a rats butt about the Lore of t his series, but some of us do. The fact that bliz is distryoing the lore because you jerks keep crying about wanting crap like little kids to their mommys while shopping, annoys me, but the fact that blizz doesnt have the balls to tell you to shut up and gives in to your crying to give you something that doesnt fit just makes me ill.

First of all. Tauren pallys? WTF? Since when does a Druidic race use holy magic? On that matter why is another druidic race (The nightelves) going back to using Magic after they nearly tore the world apart the last time they used it?

A few of the new race/class combos actually do make sense and fit, like Human hunters. But many others do not. Id even willing to let Troll Druids go, given the fact that they are somewhat closer to nature, and that Zul'jin used animal powers in the final fight. (i bet 1/2 of you dont even know that how big of a character Zul'jin actually is)

Im just hoping that their announcement of t his is just a 'this is what wed like to do" and not set in stone.

On a side note, kinda getting tired of Alliance getting toss racal leftovers lore wise. Bliz seems to have all kindas of options for horde, that actually fit the lore. Drani was a toss in to give alliance something in lo of the Blood Elves. And the Wargen are the same. Goblins make sense adding to the horde, Wargen just feel like they said "ok, now what do we give the alliance? eeh, lets make something up, how bout warewolves, those are cool right? But it doesnt fit in the lore. Ahh nobody cares about lore."

I have said this several times before, but it bears repeating: we are not ruining the lore. The story is progressing.

The story of Warcraft has progressed quite a bit in the past, and few people think twice about such drastic changes as the orcs changing from such a dark culture into the shamanistic society we know now. The reason was adequately explained, and thus despite the incongruity between that culture and the one we know today, the bridge is accepted as a natural progression.

In the situation with the race/class combinations, you have the current product, and you have the end product, but you don't have the explanation in many cases. We understand that, and there will be lead-ups to some of the combinations in the game itself, such as Tahu and Aponi or Archmage Evenshade -- and even those are only beginning.

Ultimately, one must understand that stories revolve around change and conflict. It's true that Night Elf Mages may not be accepted by a large number of Night Elves, but Orc Warlocks are not particularly well-liked either, and yet they exist. There will be changes in the world and these cultures to allow for what is coming in the cases where it seems off.

It is our hope that you enjoy the story we're seeking to tell as we grow closer to the cataclysm, even if it differs from where you might take the story were you writing it. :)
