But we are still aiming for the timeframe in this question/answer:
Q. Do I have to pre-order the Pay Per View event on DIRECTV to get the Grunty the Murloc Marine pet?
A. No. The deadline to order the BlizzCon Pay Per View event on DIRECTV and receive the in-game pet is 9 p.m. PST on August 22. The pet will be mailed out 6 to 8 weeks after the event.

Probably because these aren't the only things that need to be done post-BlizzCon and organizing thousands is a little more challenging/time consuming than one.

Have the technology? Sure, of course. Have a brand new system that is setup and thoroughly tested? No, at least not this time.

They each 1-shot each other. The zergling falls dead, but Grunty explodes in an amazing fashion when he goes down. Be careful of anybody with a zergling pet, they enjoy hunting grunties.

I was in a raid not too long ago where a couple of grunties thought they had the place locked down but ended up getting swarmed and overrun by 3 zerglings.
