And I think you hit the nail on the head, Brugh. She draws the reader in and grows up with them throughout the stories. She always said she was aiming for kids about the age of the characters.

Harry Potter makes me happy. :P

If nothing else, even if you dislike the whole franchise, getting kids interested in reading is one of the greatest and more important accomplishments of that series. Heck, getting many adults to read is wonderful too.

I love the book series, I'll refrain from giving any opinions on the movies in blue. :D

Heya cutie!!

The movies are what they are. I, personally, have enjoyed them. but only after convincing myself that they're not really related to the books. There just isn't any way to capture the books into a film that people will go see. :P

Hai! <3

I don't know, I think Peter Jackson did a fantastic job of translating Lord of the Rings into movie form. Though they weren't identical to the books, they changed a bit here and there and left out large sections of the story, the essence of the characters and journey was there for me.

Speaking of books, anyone going to get the new Dan Brown book?

Probably.

If only because I'm starting to run out of things to read again... I picked up War and Peace simply because I haven't had a chance to read it. I'll most likely start reading it next week. =P

Um, you're asking the person with a collection similar to yours (i.e. still have some sitting in their wrappers)... I have Fight Club sitting on my desk right now. I'm really tempted to watch it. I love that movie.

I just picked up the director's cut of Watchmen and received Momma Mia in the mail. :D

Oh and does the directors cut of Watchmen have the Pirate comic woven into the movie or is that only the one they are releasing in Dec.?

I don't know yet. There are 24 minutes added so my guess is that at least some of it may be there. I mean they were pretty true to the graphic novel, except for the end. O.o But the results were the same I guess.

I can understand your concern, Jasminè. The Game Master in question, though, was simply stating that he or she intended to take all appropriate action. What that action may or may not be was never provided and so our respect for an account's holder privacy was not violated.

If you feel that the choice of words used could be revisited, however, then please don't hesitate to drop a line at our feedback address. You know the drill. :)
