We apologize for any distress or frustration that these advertisements might have caused.
It is indeed a high priority for us to deal with these situations, and we appreciate reports of this nature. We are not able to act on these reports via the forums, but please feel free to submit an in-game petition detailing the location and realm where you spotted this activity occurring. A member of our Game Master staff will be more than happy to investigate and deal with the situation appropriately as soon as they can.
When you submit such a petition, it is helpful to include the terms 'advertisement' 'body' 'corpse' and 'spam'. You may also be pleased to note that we're working on methods to limit and stop this and all forms of advertisement, but this is an ongoing process. As we develop new methods to combat this kind of exploitative advertising, those who have a vested interest in doing so find new ways to reach our players.
One of the best things you can do to help stop this from occurring, in addition to reporting these advertisers, is to
never buy gold or any other 'service' offered by such companies, and discourage your friends from doing so. It isn't 'harmless' at all. Not only can this carry negative consequences for your account, it potentially supports those who engage in account compromises and advertising as well.
