As many of you are probably experiencing, the mobile authenticator codes aren't working to get access to our accounts.

Is there word of a fix from Blizzard on this issue yet, or do we just have to wait it out?

Q u o t e:
Ok I got in!!!

Here's how!

Note that I tried the other ways posted around this forum... the problem was that after doing backup restores... my iTunes was still using the new version of the app.... if you right click on the app in itunes, and chose "show in finder" ( or explorer I assume for Windows ) it'll bring you to the .IPA file.... the NEW file is called "SecureLogin_iPhone.ipa" the pre-update one is called "Battle.net Mobile Authenticator.ipa"

So you first have to make sure that the app in iTunes is the Battle.net one, and not the SecureLogin one... someone in this forum mentioned to check the Trash, and that's what the solution was... the old app was in the trash in OS X, and I was able to use that!

before starting, turn off auto sync for the iphone in the iTunes device preferences...

1.Delete the new updated authenticator from iTunes
2. drag and drop the "Battle.net Mobile Authenticator.ipa" onto iTunes from the trash/recycle bin
3. delete the Authenticator from your iPhone
4. connect your iPhone and tell iTunes to put the authenticator onto it.

5. here's where I had problems, luckily the folder with the backups was on my Time Machine backup, so I restored the backup folder "~/Library/ApplicationSupport/MobileSync" from a backup from Thursday night... the reason you MAY need to do this is if you plugged in your iPhone at all since updating.. it probably over-wrote the backup, and you'd be screwed... using one from a previous day might help. If you have a backup from before you updated... you should be ok to restore to that.
6.Login in!

Now... these are for Mac, you'll have to do some Google Foo to find out where Windows saves iPhone backups... and hopefully you haven't backed up the iPhone since AFTER doing an update....

Let me know if you're having troubles... I'd love to help other people get back in.

Thank you for your patience despite the obvious frustration caused by this issue.

Best wishes.
