Faction change delays..Update please???

I do apologize for any confusion. At this time the Paid Faction Change service is working as intended. During maintenance the changes do not process while maintenance is going on and this can cause a bit of a queue to form up that needs to be processed once everything is back up.

Could you give a time frame for what is too long? In some cases the service can go through very quickly, but the wait time can also go on for a day or more depending on volume. The wait time at this point does appear to be more than "instant" and can go on past a few hours.

As the introductory page does note it can take several days for it to complete, this is a very real possibility. If you want to play this character currently and do not want to wait through the queue, I understand, and you can cancel to try again at a later time. There is no real way to predict the popularity of the service however, so please understand it could have a bit of a queue and wait time if you try again later.

There are currently a large amount of requests in line for both of these services. I apologize if this high volume has resulted in any unexpected delays, but I can confirm that both the Character Faction Change and Paid Character Transfer systems appear to be processing requests as normal.

That said, we are monitoring both systems at this time to see if there are any other issues that may be causing additional delays.

Sorry, there is something wrong. The same thing is happening to server transfers. The wait time screen went from an hour, 10 hours, 12 hours, 1 day. I have been waiting more than 24 hours and the wait time still says a day. While other people are waiting less time than it takes the page to refresh.

As an update, the service is still functioning. The large influx of players using both the Faction Change and Paid Character Transfer service is currently a big player in the queue wait time for completion. It is not recommended that you try canceling and then start the process over as this will move you back farther in the queue.

When there is no queue and the service is not seeing much use it is very common for a transfer or change to happen in under an hour; however, if there is a queue, the wait time will go up. This is why we advise on the main pages for these services that it could take several days to complete. To take a bit from the Paid Faction Change introduction page:

I do know waiting for something can be a bit trying when you really want to play that character, so I thank you again for your patience while these transactions process through.

Absolutely, Porkie. You may play alternate characters while you wait.
