I never actually played through these.

Is it worth going to pick up the battlechest? I need something to do while waiting for Cataclysm to come out

If you enjoy RTS', want to see the Warcraft universe from the beginning and like to learn more of the storyline of Azeroth through experiencing it where it began, it's a good idea.
