Issue with a GM in game...

So I had a confrontation with a GM in-game, over an item.

Normally, this is something that I'd be able to resolve using in-game features.

But after sitting in a queu to speak to a GM, for 3 days... and then being turned away because the GM was in a bad mood, I'm a little frustrated.

To sum up my problem - I bought the wrong trinket. Transferred servers, and then realized I bought the wrong trinket.

The 2 hour return window was no longer open, due to the xfer. (The xfer also took 2 days)

So, needless to say, it took many DAYS in order to get a GM to answer me... and then I finally did, and the conversation lasted maybe 30 seconds, where he basically said "Screw you, too bad." and then closed the window before I could respond.

25 Wintergrasp tokens takes a while to get... so this is game-breaking for me if I can not get this issue resolved, or atleast speak to a reasonable GM. And I've been playing since day one.

May I ask which character (Name and Realm) you submitted this petition on?

You have my apologies for my confusion regarding the issue at hand, but it looks like you purchased the item [Platinum Disks of Sorcery] at 2009/08/22 04:41:41 GMT, and transferred your character at 09-04-2009 03:29 GMT.

This means that you had about 2 weeks — up to 2 hours of played time — to exchange the item in question. Unfortunately, that amount of time is too long for us to be able to assist with these issues.

I understand that you mentioned you do not read the forums very often, but I would like you to review the following thread, which was posted back in April of this year: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=16364516310&sid=1 .

Specifically:

Please note! As useful as these changes are, they also reflect a sweeping change in how we are likely to approach restorations of items purchased with Alternate Currencies. For approximately 30 days after this change goes live we will continue to consider requests for reimbursement of these items in an effort to provide our players with a chance to adjust to the new system. Please be advised that this change is intended to place control and responsibility for these reimbursements in our player’s hands and that we are very unlikely to interfere after this period has passed.

UPDATE: 04/15/09

Please be advised that it has been 30 days since this Alternate Currency vendor buy back system was introduced. As this change is intended to place control and responsibility for these reimbursements in our player’s hands we are very unlikely to interfere with these purchases moving forward.

Unfortunately, due to the amount of time that passed between when you purchased the item and when you reported the issue to us we will be unable to assist with this issue.

Additionally, I would like to point out that you spoke to the Game Master for almost 25 minutes.

Wrong trinket

Then why did you tell the Game Master that you spoke to that was the trinket in question?

If I post from a level 1-15 alt, will I get better service from the GM's?

Since you're obviously not willing to work with me on this and you simply continue to be unnecessarily rude, I've locked the thread.

I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
